National Scrapbook Day
May 2, 2020
With heavy heart I have decided to cancel our National Scrapbook Day this year. I had hoped that by May we would be able to have the event. Each day is met with new updates and it simply remains too unpredictable to plan such a big event. Our shelter in place is extended to the end of April, however other sources hint that it could be the end of May, June, or even further. The one consistent information is that we need to continue practicing social distancing. Our NSD event has always had 35-40 people in the store for 10 to twelve hours. Even if shelter in place is removed there would be no safe way to maintain the 6 ft distance between each person. So though we are canceling, mark your calendars for a SUPER GREAT NSD on May 1, 2021!
All monies I have received for both the retreat and the store side will be applied to NSD 2021 for a guaranteed spot. Traditionally this event books fast so this is good news for YOU!
Since closing the doors on March 25, I have received online orders from some of you! It means so much that you continue to support SGT. I'm sure you can imagine the effects of COVID19 on all types of small businesses everywhere. Unfortunately there will be some that won't weather this storm and my heart breaks for them. We know there are many to choose from in the scrapbook industry, and we appreciate you more than these words can express as you continue to choose us for your scrapping needs! With your continued loyalty and support we will be able to open our doors as soon as we are allowed!
I know this is a stressful time and worry can get the best of you. Please try to not be overwhelmed. Creating is a great outlet and stress reliever as most of you know! Take some time to appreciate the things you may have time for now that you didn't before. Most of all we encourage you to journal and scrapbook the things that are happening right now. We are a part of history like no other and future generations will want to know what happened. Stay safe. Stay Healthy!
